How the Jumble solver works
The classic newspaper Jumble gives you four scrambled words to unscramble, each with a few letters marked (usually circled) in the answer. Once you've solved all four words, you take just the marked letters from each one, combine them, and unscramble that smaller set of letters into the puzzle's final punchline — often a pun answering a caption or cartoon.
Type each scrambled word into its box and hit Solve Words. If a scramble matches more than one real word, every match shows up as a button — click the one that fits, and its letters appear as tiles. Click any tile to circle it, matching whatever letters the puzzle marks in that word. As you circle letters across all four words, they collect at the bottom under "Circled letters."
Once you've circled at least two letters total, hit Solve Final Answer to see every dictionary word or word combination that can be built from exactly those letters — set "Max words" to match how many words the final answer has, if the puzzle tells you.
